In the first week if Term Three I wrote an introductory letter to Parents and Caregivers. This letter was to establish a connection with Whanau; to express my aims for their children; to convey the learning their children were going to undertake; and to provide links with which they could communicate with me.
After drafting an initial letter, Rachel Van Hueven and I collaborated to editing/re-craft, which was then seen by our SMT Pip Mears.
I received numerous emails, and messages in learners' Agenda books, from a range of parents welcoming me to the classroom.
This is where I show evidence of how I have met the New Zealand Practising Teacher Criteria (PTC) and continue to meet the Registered Teacher Criteria
